The BBC and pretty much everywhere seems to be useless on getting London results out. However the Labour Representation Committee is doing well, as is Union Futures. They seem to be your best places for following the results.

I've enjoyed reading people's suggestions on various threads about policies they want to see Labour enact.
Constitutional reforms could give us a bit of radical spark back, and political anoraks like it (or loathe it!) But a programme of constitutional reform would not be enough...

According to
the Guardian, policy documents are winging their way to CLPs and union branches immediately after the elections, and we will be given full opportunities to submit as many amendments as we wish. I'm not 100% sure what happens then (NPF members care to enlighten us?) but it sounds like a positive step.

It's not what the headline writers want to to talk about. It's not being done with great, Blair-like fanfares and Clarion calls. But be under no doubt: the current conference is the one where the Liberal Democrats finally head back to their home on the centre right.
What impact should this have on Labour?

I'm currently reading Alistair Campbell's diaries (a Christmas present) and enjoying them rather more than some of the reviewers. But re-living the Clause IV debate (and getting an inside view of the 'other side') has raised some very important questions for me. Does the nature of leadership in modern British politics make party democracy impossible?

It is time for us to be pretty blunt and self-critical as a party, and some big decisions and changes are necessary. The crisis in the party and the government has reached a critical point, and waiting it out is no longer an option.
